i always thought it was just another way of getting rid of members that weren't welcome anymore.. but i've changed my mind.

So telling that there are no little children
by eyeslice inwatching in on my wife's zoom meeting last night, there was an item about discipline is love.
they played a 'caleb' animated cartoon and then the instructions were 'if possible, ask selected young children' several questions.. it seems however, that there are no children in my wife's current congregation so the questions were all answered by retired brothers and sisters.
the congregation mainly consists of elderly people (like us) and the few of childbearing age seem not interested in having children.

Two things are certain..JW rank & file membership numbers will continue to drop & JW partakers' numbers will continue to climb...this outcome is the complete opposite of what the 8 clowns at the top of this cult hope for...Amen!

When He who says: ‘All the gold and silver of the mountains are mine,’ fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it to be time to suspend the publication.” (W Nov. 1, 2007 pg17)
We all know that recently WT decided it was time to reduce the size, number of pages and how often its magazines (Watchtower and Awake) are published. Now with the absence of the Awake magazine for the past year in both paper and digital form is it possible that WT has 'understood it to be time to suspend the publication' of the Awake not only due to a lack of funds but more embarrassingly due to a lack of interest?

by RULES & REGULATIONS inactive believer...still attend meetings, go out in field service, believe it's ''the truth''.
active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .
inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

6. Very content P.I.M.O. Very low hour publisher; believer in God. I'm a liability to this cult; my congregation would be better off without me; rarely attend zoom meetings...when I do attend I will sometimes turn camera on just to show full nicely trimmed beard; absolutely refuse repeated invitations to meet with meathead elders. You might ask: Why am I still in? Deep family ties & shunning threat!

Without so much as an announcement the WTBTS Society has buried one of its landmark publications...The Awake...is this true???

much discussion now about the fallout that is coming due to impacts of the pandemic combined with the long-term downward spiral of jw.org.
i am active as a pimo and my wife is pimi....much of our personal conversation and conversation with others in jw land focuses on how things will play out for jw.org in the next 12-24 months.

It's a given that WT has backed itself into a corner with its hardliner, hardcore cult practices & behavior over the past many years...& this pandemic has not helped in any way. The amount of JW youth who are online stumbling across YouTube channels created by other XJW youth is getting increasingly worse for WT to defend against. Add to this the high number of JWs in their 20s, 30s & 40s who also are frequenting XJW online sites & getting a crash course into the dark side of their own religion is very damaging to the growth and advancement of this organization.
So yah...WT not only has to...but will need to make some drastic changes to maintain acceptance just by its current members.
